Elements and methods for laser-induced thermal transfer |
abstract |
(57) [Summary] [Objective] To provide a novel element for laser-induced exfoliative transfer. A support having a first surface and having a surface roughness R z of r is supported on the surface (b) (i). An imageable non-sublimable component, (ii) a component that absorbs laser radiation, and (iii) at least one transfer coating that contains a binder, if desired. The line-absorbing component may be the same or different, and the total thickness of the transfer coating and any other coating on the first surface of the support is t, and further for r ≧ 1.5t is there, Element for use in laser-induced exfoliation transfer. |
