abstract | (57) [Summary] [Objective] The object of the present invention is to stabilize tabular silver halide emulsions containing a high concentration of silver chloride against changes in conditions such as temperature during chemical sensitization. Another object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a silver halide emulsion having high sensitivity with high sensitivity. In a method for producing a silver halide emulsion comprising at least 90 mol% silver chloride and spectrally sensitized with at least one sensitizing dye, the silver halide emulsion has an aspect ratio of 50% or more of the projected area. A method for producing a silver halide emulsion, which comprises 3 or more tabular grains, wherein the sensitizing dye is added as a dispersion using water as a medium. The method for producing a silver halide emulsion as described above, wherein the weight ratio (Ag / Gel) of silver and gelatin of the silver halide emulsion during spectral sensitization is 2 ≦ (Ag / Gel) ≦ 8.5. A method for producing a silver halide emulsion, characterized in that the main planes of tabular grains are {100} planes. A method for preparing a silver halide emulsion, which comprises a localized phase having a silver bromide content of 30 mol% or more in the corner portions of tabular grains. |
