abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] To identify gene function from gene sequence information, The present invention relates to a gene motif extraction processing apparatus and processing method for extracting characteristic regularity in a sequence, and an object thereof is to mechanically (automatically) extract a motif based on gene sequence information. [Structure] From the input alignment data of multiple gene sequences, each sequence is weighted based on the evolutionary phylogenetic tree, and the score of each site is calculated from the weight of each sequence and the similarity of amino acids. Is automatically extracted as a motif that is a regularity characteristic of the sequence.
