titleOfInvention Metal halide lamp
abstract (57) [Summary] [Objective] To obtain a metal halide lamp having a high color temperature of 1000 W or more and a high color rendering, which is excellent in color rendering and has a long life. [Structure] Electrodes 2a and 2b are provided at both ends, and halides of thallium, cesium, and sodium, and at least one of halides of holmium, neodymium, thulium, and dysprosium are provided inside together with mercury and a rare gas. An arc tube in which a mixed halide containing is included is provided, and the enclosed amount of the sodium halide is selected in the range of 9 × 10 −8 to 3.3 × 10 −7 mol per 1 cm 3 of the inner volume of the arc tube.
