(57) [Summary] [Objective] An alumina porous body having a fine pore size and a sharp pore size distribution and a boehmite sol as a precursor thereof are prepared. [Structure] After adding an organic solvent and a compound such as carboxylic acid anhydride, acetoacetic acid ester, dicarboxylic acid ester, β-diketone, and ethanolamine, which lowers the reactivity of the alkoxide to water, to aluminum alkoxide, the temperature is kept at 80 ° C or higher. After hydrolyzing with water, filtering the precipitate as the case may be, or adding an acid in the state as it is to deflocculate at 80 ° C or higher to prepare a boehmite sol, which is dried and calcined. By doing so, an alumina-based porous body having a sharp pore size distribution is obtained. |
