abstract (57) [Summary] [Objective] To provide a plasma generating gas capable of obtaining a long and uniform plasma jet. The plasma generating gas of the present invention comprises a ternary mixture of helium, argon and hydrogen, and has at least about 1: 1. It contains 0% hydrogen, typically 30-70% helium, 10-50% argon and 10-25%, preferably 20% ± 5% hydrogen. It can be applied to plasma spraying of metal powder.
