titleOfInvention Method for producing 2-nitrobenzaldehyde
abstract (57) [Summary] [Structure] General formula [Chemical formula 1] 2-nitrotoluenes in which X 1 and X 2 independently of one another represent hydrogen or halogen, or one of their substituents represents a nitro group and the other substituent represents hydrogen. By oxidation of the general formula A novel method for producing 2-nitrobenzaldehydes, wherein X 1 and X 2 have the above-mentioned meaning, wherein oxidation with oxygen or a gas containing oxygen is carried out by using at least one alkoxyalkylamine as a solvent. A method characterized in that it is carried out in the presence and in the presence of strong bases. [Effect] A novel method for producing 2-nitrobenzaldehydes that can be economically implemented is provided.
