abstract | (57) [Summary] [Purpose] Completely removes the steel outlet of a metallurgical container with a large diameter, and the slag, which causes the outside diameter of the furnace to be small due to the adhesion of metal and the inside diameter of the furnace to become large due to melting damage. It is an object of the present invention to provide an expansive plug for closing a tap hole of a metallurgical container which can be completely closed and can completely prevent outflow of a slag tip into a receiving container. [Composition] In an expansive plug for closing the tap hole of a metallurgical container, which is inserted into the tap hole of the metallurgical container to prevent slag from flowing out into the receiving container, an expansive raw material such as vermiculite 30 ~ 80% by weight, heat softening raw material such as glass dust, frit 20 ~ 70% by weight and 10 to 50% by weight of alkali silicate are filled in an expandable member in a metal frame having a cylindrical shape and slits in the axial direction of the cylindrical peripheral surface. |
