abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] An optical fiber terminal that can be molded with high accuracy and therefore has excellent connectivity with optical devices, is easy and inexpensive to manufacture, and is also resistant to optical fiber disconnection. A method and a connection structure between a terminal unit and an optical device are provided. A butt end face 11e facing or abutting the optical device 20 and a single fiber hole or a plurality of fiber holes formed in parallel at a predetermined pitch are provided, and one end of the optical fiber 13a is inserted into each fiber hole. An optical fiber terminal section (10) in which an optical fiber is optically connected to an optical device, a manufacturing method thereof, and a connection structure between the terminal section and the optical device are provided. The ferrule 11 is made of a synthetic resin molded body, and is provided with at least one connecting member 12 on the side of the abutting end face with the optical device. The linear expansion coefficient of the connecting member 12 is set smaller than the linear expansion coefficient of the synthetic resin forming the ferrule 11.
