A method for producing a functional group-containing perfluorocarbon-based copolymer, which comprises finely pulverizing the particles to a size of 2 μm or less, dispersing them in an aqueous medium, and adding a water-soluble organic chain transfer agent to carry out polymerization, and A highly functional functional group-containing perfluorocarbon-based copolymer composition containing a copolymer. [Effect] A functional group-containing perfluorocarbon-based copolymer having excellent melt moldability and having a high function can be stably produced by suppressing or inhibiting the formation of a heterogeneous polymer in an aqueous medium phase.
