abstract |
(57) [Summary] [Objective] To provide a method capable of easily coextracting neptunium and plutonium without generation of secondary waste liquid. [Configuration] Photooxidation is performed by irradiating a mixed solution of neptunium / plutonium nitric acid with ultraviolet rays. By doing so, the valence of neptunium is adjusted to a water-soluble hexavalent one, while the plutonium is adjusted to a tetravalent or hexavalent one that can be extracted into the organic phase. These can be easily co-extracted. |
