titleOfInvention | Antitumor antibiotic thiazinotrienomycin and its production method |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Objective] An anticancer agent having an antitumor activity on human cancer cells, and in particular, having an antitumor effect on a specific type of cancer cells and strongly inhibiting the growth of such cancer cells. Provided are novel antibiotics having activity. [Structure] By culturing a thiazinotrienomycin-producing bacterium, a novel antitumor antibiotic thiazinotrienomycin A, B, C, D or E represented by the following general formula (I) is obtained. Thiazinotrienomycin acts selectively on human cancer tissue, but has low acute toxicity and no antibacterial activity. Thiazinotrienomycin is useful as a novel carcinostatic antibiotic capable of overcoming the problem of bacterial metastasis caused by administration of antibacterial active antibiotics. General formula [Wherein R = cyclohexyl group, cyclohexenyl group or isobutyl group, X = H and Y + Z is Or X + Y Then Z = H. |
