Regarding A method for producing an olefin derivative of the general formula III having at least one electron-withdrawing substituent, which comprises reacting a compound containing a thiocarbonyl group with a methylene compound in the presence of a silver or copper salt in the presence of a base. General formula (III) (R 1 and R 2 represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent, X and Y represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent, and at least one of X and Y represents an electron-withdrawing substituent.) |
