(57) [Summary] [Structure] o-Nitrohydroxyazobenzenes are subjected to catalytic hydrogenation in the presence of a basic substance in a solvent in the presence of a palladium-containing hydrogenation catalyst and in the presence of a sulfur compound to give 2- (2 '-Hydroxyphenyl) benzotriazoles are produced. [Effect] There are few by-products from the reaction, and the yield of the target product is high. |
