titleOfInvention Improved method for producing 2-keto-L-gulonic acid
abstract (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] Shortening the total reaction time in the microbial production method of 2-keto-L-gulonic acid (hereinafter referred to as 2KGA), Increased efficiency, such as reduction of medium raw materials. [Structure] (1) A microorganism capable of producing 2KGA from L-sorbose is cultured in a liquid medium containing a substrate for producing 2KGA, and (2) the produced 2KGA in the culture medium is recovered. A method for producing 2KGA, wherein microorganisms are also recovered, (3) the recovered microorganism is inoculated into a new liquid medium for the next culture, and (4) this culture and recovery are repeated at least once. [Effect] To provide a highly versatile method for producing 2KGA, which is industrially advantageous in reducing the time required for the growth of bacteria in the main culture, seed culture, medium raw materials, and reduction of culture waste.
