[Structure] (1) A diamine having a bicyclic alicyclic hydrocarbon group having 3 to 9 carbon atoms and sharing three or more atoms or a derivative thereof, (2) an aliphatic tetracarboxylic dianhydride, and (3) A composition for liquid crystal alignment film containing a polyamic acid obtained by reacting a diamine other than (1) as necessary, a liquid crystal alignment film formed from this composition, and the like.
