titleOfInvention | Additives for castings |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Purpose] To provide an additive for castings, which can improve the quality of casting products at a relatively low material cost compared to conventional additives. [Structure] Approximately 20% of gilsonite was mixed with starch which was extracted from the polymer layer of the epidermis of corn produced in the United States and subjected to gelatinization. [Effect] The amount of additive used can be reduced, the water retention is increased by about 2 times compared to conventional additives, and it is possible to knead with low water content, and the surface stability of casting products is increased. Material costs can be reduced compared to additives, and the quality of cast products can be improved. |
