abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] A method for predicting the three-dimensional structure of a protein capable of quantitatively estimating the three-dimensional structure prediction accuracy of a target protein predicted by a predetermined method along an amino acid sequence. And a device. [Structure] At least one protein having a high degree of homology with the target protein whose three-dimensional structure is to be predicted is selected as a reference protein, and the amino acid residue of the target protein is determined based on the coordinates of the atoms of the amino acid residues of the selected reference protein. A method and a device for calculating the prediction accuracy of a three-dimensional structure of a target protein in which the coordinates of a group atom are predicted by a predetermined method, based on physicochemical parameters of a plurality of types of amino acids contained in the target protein. The value of the correlation function showing the correlation with respect to each corresponding amino acid residue in the juxtaposed sequence of the protein and the target protein is calculated for at least one selected physicochemical parameter preselected from the physicochemical parameters of plural kinds of amino acids. Then, the average value is calculated and used as the prediction accuracy.
