[Structure] An aquatic plant growth accelerator containing phosphate as an active ingredient and the accelerator are placed in a container having micropores at one end, the container is placed in water in an aquarium, and an aqueous solution of phosphate is introduced from the pores. A method of adding an aquatic plant growth promoting agent, which comprises leaching water.
