titleOfInvention Method and apparatus for inspecting liquid crystal substrate
abstract (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] To provide a method and an apparatus for inspecting a liquid crystal substrate capable of performing highly reliable inspection. [Structure] The mounting table 2 is lifted from a reference position to determine the amount of lifting when the surface of the liquid crystal substrate comes into contact with the contact sensor 60, and based on this, the amount of lifting of the mounting table 2 at the time of inspection is set. Therefore, when the electrode pad 31 of the liquid crystal substrate is brought into contact with the probing needle 62 by overdriving, an appropriate amount of overdrive can be secured even if there is a variation in the thickness of the liquid crystal substrate, and the contact becomes reliable and the probing needle 6 2 damage is suppressed. The thickness of the liquid crystal substrate may be measured by another measuring device in advance and the amount of rise of the mounting table 2 may be set based on the value. When using a probing contact means having bumps formed on an FPC (flexible printed circuit), the FPC is attached to a fixing member via nitrile rubber to obtain an appropriate contact pressure.
