abstract (57) [Summary] [Structure] Vinylidene fluoride is optionally combined with other fluorinated olefins to prepare 1,1,1-trifluoro2,2-dichloroethane as a radical initiator and a chain transfer agent in an aqueous medium. Provided is a method for producing a vinylidene fluoride (VDF) polymer, which comprises polymerizing in the presence of (HCFC-123). [Effect] A vinylidene fluoride (VDF) polymer having excellent color characteristics (appearance) and sufficiently preventing discoloration effect at high temperature can be obtained.
