abstract | (57) [Summary] [Purpose] Isolating a phagocytosis-inhibitory factor from red blood cells themselves, Its purpose is to purify it to confirm its existence and also to clarify its action. [Structure] The following properties: (1) molecular weight: 1000 to 3000 daltons; (2) thermostability: activity does not change by freeze-thawing or boiling for 30 minutes; (3) enzyme stability: inactivation by neuraminidase or aminopeptidase. (4) UV absorption: strong absorption at 200 and 240 nm, no specific absorption above 250 nm; (5) pH stability: deactivates at low pH (24 hours or more at pH 2.5); (6) It nonspecifically and specifically inhibits the phagocytic activity of macrophage-like cell lines, and this inhibitory activity is reversible; (7) Cell surface antigen Mac- of macrophage-like cell lines 1 (CR3) expression is specifically inhibited; (8) Phagocytosis inhibitory activity is Ca 2+ -dependent; and (9) Does not inhibit murine macrophage phagocytosis activity. |
