(57) [Summary] [Object] To provide a method for industrially advantageously producing various alkali alkoxides by utilizing an electrolytic reaction. [Structure] A caustic alkali or a quaternary ammonium compound is dissolved in alcohol, and the obtained alcohol solution is electrolyzed in an electrolytic cell equipped with a partition partitioning an anode chamber and a cathode chamber to produce an alkali alkoxide. Is a method for producing an alkali alkoxide. [Effect] Alkali alkoxide can be produced economically and with good operability in an industrially advantageous manner, and the range of choices of alkali and alcohol in the production of alkali alkoxide can be broadened, and many types of alkali alkoxide can be produced. It can be produced at any concentration. Furthermore, by using a cation exchange membrane as a partition that separates the anode chamber and the cathode chamber of the electrolytic cell, a high-purity alkali alkoxide with less hydroxide can be easily produced. |
