abstract (57) [Summary] [Object] To provide a catalyst using a halogen-free cocatalyst that can be used in stereospecific polymerization. [Structure] For the polymerization of an α-olefin containing (a) a solid catalyst based on titanium trichloride (TiCl 3 ) and (b) a halogen-free cocatalyst containing one or more halogen-free organoaluminum compounds. In the catalysts that can be used, the non-halogen-containing cocatalyst further comprises one or more active hydrogen-free aminoalanes.
