abstract (57) [Summary] (Modified) [Objective] To provide a novel substituted phenylaminosulfonylurea having superior herbicidal activity to conventional similar compounds. The novel substituted phenylaminosulfonylureas according to the present invention have the formula (I) [Wherein R 1 and R 3 represent hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, etc., R 2 represents hydrogen, halogen, R 4 represents hydrogen, amino, formyl, etc., and R 5 represents (C 1 -C 1 8 ) -alkyl, or (C 1 -C 7 ) -cycloalkyl, etc., or phenyl or phenyl- (C 1 ~C 4) - an alkyl, or 2-6 heterocyclyl or heterocyclyl having carbon atoms and 1 to 3 nitrogen atoms and / or one oxygen or sulfur atom of the - (C 1 -C 4 ) -indicating alkyl, or a salt of a compound of formula (I). Also disclosed are methods of making these compounds and their use as herbicides.
