titleOfInvention Radiographic element
abstract (57) Abstract: Objective To provide a radiographic element capable of exhibiting a reduction in optical density change as a function of locally applied pressure. A radiographic element comprising a support and at least two types of high tabularity tabular grains coated on the support. The tabular grains coated on the support exhibit a face centered cubic crystal lattice structure formed by silver bromide, with selected portions of the tabular grains at an overall concentration of at least 0.5 mole percent. Further, iodide distributed substantially uniformly in the crystal lattice structure is additionally contained at an iodide concentration of less than 5 mol% at any one position in the tabular grains.
