titleOfInvention Ultraviolet laser equipment
abstract (57) [Summary] [Object] To provide an ultraviolet laser device with high wavelength conversion efficiency that can reduce the reflection loss and easily adjust the disturbance of the phase matching due to the temperature rise of the nonlinear optical element. In a laser device for outputting a frequency-converted laser beam by arranging a nonlinear optical element such as a second harmonic generation element on the laser optical axis, a laser beam input / output surface of the nonlinear optical element is formed into a cylindrical lens shape. The convex surface is formed so that the central axes of curvature of both convex surfaces coincide with each other, and the central axis of curvature is orthogonal to the laser optical axis. Further, by making the non-linear optical element rotatable about the center axis of curvature as a rotation axis, optimum control of the phase matching angle can be performed. Since the center axis of curvature of the laser light entrance / exit surface coincides with the rotation axis, the optical axis shift of the fundamental wave of the laser light source does not occur even if the nonlinear optical element is rotated, so that the reduction of the fundamental wave laser output can be suppressed. In addition, the wavelength conversion efficiency of the non-linear optical element is controlled by giving a slight rotation angle variation to the non-linear optical element to detect the change of the output laser light such as the second harmonic output light and automatically controlling the phase matching angle. A mechanism can be added to keep the maximum value at all times.
