abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] To provide a novel stress protein p20. [Structure] Rat skeletal muscle or human breast muscle extract was purified according to the purification method of αB and HSP28, and the stress protein p20 rich fraction was detected by an immunoassay method. Since the stress protein p20 is useful as a means for easily grasping the quantitative change of the antibody against the stress protein, it can be used as a diagnostic agent for autoimmune diseases. In addition, since the antibody can measure the concentration of stress protein p20 in patient serum or plasma, the degree of stress received by the living body can be measured.
