(57) [Summary] [Purpose] To provide a molding material for bottles excellent in hue, transparency and heat resistance. [Structure] Polyethylene-2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylate was obtained by using a germanium compound as a polycondensation catalyst after esterification by a direct polymerization method, and the content of oligomers was suppressed to 0.4% by weight or less by solid-state polymerization.
