(57) [Summary] [Object] The present invention provides a technique for reducing the amount of sludge deposit, which is a problem when producing a lithographic printing plate by a silver complex diffusion transfer method. A process for preparing a lithographic printing plate comprising the following steps (a) and (b): (a) from a support, at least one negatively acting photosensitive silver halide layer and a physical development nucleation surface layer. Exposing a single photosensitive material having a developing agent and an electron transfer agent in one or more of these layers to the image direction to form a printing plate, and then ( b) The printing plate is treated in a diffusion transfer alkaline activator solution containing at least one aminocarboxylic acid complexing agent. |
