abstract | (57) [Summary] [Object] To provide a glycol-based antifreezing agent which does not precipitate salts when mixed with water, especially hard water. [Structure] (A) One or more glycols selected from the group consisting of alkylene glycol, alkylene glycol monoether, and alkylene glycol diether are used. ~ 99 weight percent (B) 0.001 to 15 weight percent (C) one or more corrosion inhibitors, essentially free of cross-linking, 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropyl sulfonic acid or its alkali metal salts, 4- A polymer additive which is a copolymer or terpolymer of one or more monomers selected from the group consisting of styrene sulfonic acid or an alkali metal salt thereof, a lower alkyl hydroxy acrylate, and a mixture thereof and acrylic acid or an alkali metal salt thereof, A glycol base composition comprising up to 50 weight percent of 25 to 2500 parts (D) water per million parts by weight of one or more glycols. |
