abstract | (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To provide a developing device capable of stably imparting sufficient chargeability to a positively chargeable toner for a long period of time and capable of forming a high-quality image without background stains. [Structure] A replenishing roller 4 supplies the toner 2 to a toner carrier 5 having toner on its surface, and a regulating member 5 forms a uniform thin layer to retain an electrostatic latent image.
