abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] To produce an efficient aluminum-chromium alloy plated steel sheet by electroplating using a new molten salt plating bath containing aluminum and chromium. [Structure] A mixture of aluminum halide (AlX 3 , where X is a halogen atom) and chromium halide (CrX 2 , where X is a halogen atom) in excess of 50 mol% and 5 Chromium was added to the plating layer by electroplating from a bath consisting of less than 0 mol% of an alkylpyridinium halide (C 5 H 5 N-RN, where R is an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms and X is a halogen atom). A method for producing an aluminum-chromium alloy plated steel sheet containing 0.001 to 60% by weight.
