(57) [Summary] [Purpose] To provide a fluorescent pigment having excellent hue, light fastness and bleeding resistance, and easily added to paints, inks and the like. [Structure] An ionic group-containing polyester, an oil-soluble fluorescent dye, and a water-soluble organic compound are melt-kneaded, and water is added to disperse them in water. Then, an electrolyte is added to slowly aggregate the water-dispersed particles to obtain a fluorescent pigment. The obtained fluorescent pigment has a narrow particle size distribution, and since it is substantially spherical, it has a small oil absorption amount, is easy to be added and blended in paints, inks, etc., and has a low viscosity. |
