titleOfInvention Caries-induced bacterial growth inhibitor
abstract (57) [Summary] [Structure] 0.0004% by weight or more of chitosan derived from squid soft shell having an average molecular weight of 9,600 or more and less than 600,000 is contained. [Effect] It suppresses only the growth of caries-inducing bacteria that are the causative bacteria of caries, and does not suppress the growth of other bacteria resident in the oral cavity. Therefore, it is possible to prevent caries without disturbing the balance of the bacterial flora in the oral cavity.
