abstract | (57) [Summary] [Structure] An aromatic tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride represented by the following general formula (1) is reacted with an aromatic diamine represented by the following formula (2). A method for producing a polyamic acid having a unit as a main repeating unit, and the following general formula (4), characterized in that the polyamic acid is subjected to dehydration ring closure. A method for producing a polyimide, wherein the unit is the main repeating unit. [Chemical 1] (However, R represents a tetravalent aromatic hydrocarbon group.) [Effect] According to the method for producing a polyimide of the present invention, it has excellent heat resistance, excellent mechanical strength, and a linear expansion coefficient. A polyimide that is small and has excellent thermal dimensional stability can be easily manufactured. Moreover, according to the method for producing a polyamic acid of the present invention, a polyamic acid useful as an intermediate for such a polyimide can be easily and reliably produced. |
