abstract | (57) [Summary] [Purpose] It is possible to produce low-polymer α-olefins such as 1-hexene with high yield and high selectivity, and especially to auxiliary equipment such as reactors and distillation towers and auxiliary equipment such as piping. Provided is a method for producing an industrially advantageous α-olefin low polymer in which adhesion of a raw polymer is prevented. In a method for producing an α-olefin low polymer using a chromium catalyst, a catalyst system comprising at least a combination of a chromium compound and an amine or a metal amide and an alkylaluminum compound is used as a chromium catalyst in a solvent. A method for producing an α-olefin low polymer, wherein an antistatic agent which is inactive as a catalyst component is present in the reaction solution when the low polymerization of α-olefin is carried out. |
