A bonded polyphenylene ether resin, characterized in that the number average molecular weight having a specific amount of binding to a terminal group of a specific structure and a site other than the specific terminal is in the range of 10,000 to 22,000. A resin composition comprising a resin, an acrylic ester or a methacrylic ester, a styrene resin, and a flame retardant. [Effect] The composition and the molded product of the present invention have excellent thermal stability and moldability as compared with the conventional polyphenylene ether resin composition, and have a surface appearance excellent even under severe molding conditions.
