Plant acetyl CoA carboxylase gene |
abstract |
(57) [Summary] [Object] To provide a plant acetyl-CoA carboxylase gene. [Structure] A gene encoding a part of acetyl-CoA carboxylase by performing a polymerase chain reaction using an oligonucleotide corresponding to an amino acid sequence having similarity among known acetyl-CoA carboxylases of various organisms as a primer and using plant genomic DNA as a template. A fragment is obtained, and the acetyl CoA carboxylase gene full length is obtained from the plant genomic library by hybridization using this fragment as a probe. Furthermore, an acetyl-CoA carboxylase cDNA clone is obtained by using a part of the genomic gene as a probe. |
