abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] An antifouling agent that has the function of gradually dissolving in alkaline liquids such as seawater, and is incorporated into paints. It can be stably eluted over a long period of time, so it can develop and maintain antifouling performance over a long period of time, and in addition, it is strong and retains moderate water solubility. Another object is to provide a novel resin composition for an antifouling paint, which gives a coating film that can be applied. [Structure] For example, esterification / etherification products of various glycolic acid derivatives represented by (meth) acrylamidoglycolic acid and crotonamidoglycolic acid and various alcohols are used. A resin composition for an antifouling paint, comprising a so-called substituted amide group-containing vinyl polymer obtained as a result as an essential base resin component.
