titleOfInvention Method of modifying slab structure in twin roll type continuous casting
abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To provide a microstructure and macrostructure refinement of a cast slab in twin roll type continuous casting for producing a thin cast slab, and to provide a method for modifying a structure to obtain a good cast. [Structure] A casting shell 1a, 1b is provided with unevenness, a molten steel pool 3 between the rolls is provided with a contact limiting plate, and a solidification shell 7 is formed by the unevenness 4 provided on the surface of the roll. A site for solidification nucleation is provided on the surface of, and a thin plate cast is manufactured while the solidified shell is pressed down by the static pressure and roll of the injected molten steel. [Effect] The microstructure and macrostructure of the slab can be made finer, the toughness can be improved and microsegregation can be reduced with special steel, etc., and soaking anneal before hot rolling can be omitted. The quality of the piece can be improved and the cost can be reduced.
