abstract (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] An object of the present invention is to provide a liquid crystal display device capable of bright display, capable of continuously adjusting a display color, and capable of improving a yield in manufacturing. To do. [Structure] A ferroelectric liquid crystal display element and a light guide plate illuminating device, one or more white fluorescent discharge tubes at each end of the light guide plate, and colored light having a complementary color relationship with the display color of the liquid crystal display element. A colored fluorescent discharge tube for emitting light is provided.
