Epitope region of pneumococcal surface protein A |
abstract |
(57) Summary An object of the present invention is to provide a PspA protein fragment containing a protection-inducing epitope, which is cross-reactive and can be incorporated into a vaccine against a disease caused by pneumococcal infection. Modifications may be included within the scope of the invention. [Structure] Streptococcus p in the region of the PspA protein Rx1 strain neumoniae), that include defense inducing epitopes that cross-react with PspA other pneumococcal strains were identified. This region contains amino acid residues 192 to 26 of the Rx1PspA strain. It consists of a sequence of 68 amino acids spanning 0. |
