(57) [Summary] [Objective] The conversion of linear olefins is high by using a catalyst that has high conversion of linear olefins and selectivity of branched olefins and does not contain corrosive halogen. A method for efficiently producing a branched olefin is provided. [Structure] A zirconia content of 0.2 to 40 prepared from an alumina-zirconia precursor sol and / or gel. A process for producing a branched olefin, which comprises skeletal isomerizing a linear olefin in the presence of a wt% alumina-zirconia catalyst to obtain a branched olefin. |
