titleOfInvention Crucible for producing single crystal and single crystal pulling apparatus incorporating the crucible
abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] To suppress the erosion of graphite crucible by gas in the crucible for single crystal production. [Structure] A crucible 1 comprises a quartz crucible 11 and a graphite crucible 2 formed by a plurality of blocks for accommodating and supporting the quartz crucible. The graphite crucible 2 comprises, for example, a bottom plate 3 forming a central portion of the bottom and three crucible main bodies 4 forming a circumferential wall. In the graphite crucible 2, a fitting body 51 made of graphite is detachably fitted in a fitting groove 50 provided on the inner peripheral wall of the bottom portion over the entire circumference. Due to the fitting body 51, the slits 13 between the crucible main bodies 4 are not exposed on the surface, the quartz crucible 11 is prevented from biting into the slits 13 through which the gas containing the SiO gas evaporated from the quartz crucible 11 passes, and the local portions of the graphite crucible 2 are prevented. Temperature rise can be prevented and erosion is less likely to occur. If erosion occurs, the fitting body 51 is replaced.
