abstract | (57) [Summary] [Structure] A disk-shaped magnetic recording having a magnetic layer containing a magnetic substance provided on a non-magnetic support, and having a layer containing a dye whose optical property is changed by light irradiation. In the medium, in the layer containing the dye, continuous servo signals based on changes in the optical properties of the dye due to light irradiation are recorded on concentric tracks, and the servo signals have different wavelengths. A magnetic recording medium including a signal obtained by superposing two kinds of signals, each of the two kinds of signals being uniform, and a phase difference between the two kinds of signals being sequentially different for each track, and a recording / reproducing method thereof. And an information processing apparatus using the same. [Effect] The manufacturing cost is low, the area where magnetic recording is possible is wide, and accurate tracking is possible with a single detector. |
