abstract |
(57) [Summary] [Objective] To provide a star-shaped nylon having a low melt viscosity and excellent mechanical properties, and a method for producing the same. [Structure] A star-shaped nylon in which a polymer chain of nylon is formed starting from each of three or more polymerization initiating groups substituted for each carbon at positions spaced apart from one another in an aromatic ring of an aromatic compound. A method for producing a star-shaped nylon, wherein the above aromatic compound is uniformly mixed with a molten nylon monomer, and then the nylon monomer is polymerized by using each of the polymerization initiation groups of the aromatic compound as a starting point of the polymerization. [Effect] A star-shaped nylon that does not form an intramolecular crosslinked structure and also has good formation of intermolecular hydrogen bonds, and has low melt viscosity and excellent mechanical properties is produced. |
