abstract |
(57) [Summary] [Object] To provide efficient treatment of acetic acid accumulated in a culture solution when producing microbial cellulose by acetic acid bacteria, and to provide an efficient wastewater / waste treatment method. [Composition] A microbial cellulose is produced by culturing acetic acid bacteria. Then, by culturing the acetic acid bacterium, the culture solution in which acetic acid is accumulated is treated with a methanogenic bacterium that utilizes acetic acid. Methanogenic bacteria produce methane while removing acetic acid from the culture. Further, a wastewater treatment facility including a first reactor 1 for producing microbial cellulose containing acetic acid bacteria and a second reactor 2 for producing methane containing methanogenic bacteria is provided. Then, by treating the wastewater containing a high concentration of sugar and the like with the first reactor 1, the sugar is converted to acetic acid. The converted acetic acid is second Treatment with Reactor 2 converts acetic acid to methane. |
