abstract | (57) [Summary] [Purpose] To reduce overhead. [Configuration] The client sends the embedded message to the server. The server receives the message, processes it, and deallocates storage for each message in small increments. The client packages and bundles each message into a storage amount equal to an integer multiple of the server storage granularity before sending the bundle to the server over the communications transport. The server puts the bundle in a single buffer and each message occupies a corresponding portion of that buffer. Each message is then unbundled and properly processed by the server process to which the message was sent. Thereafter, the portion of storage is deallocated immediately. |
