titleOfInvention Poly (alkyl pyridine-2,5-diyl) polymer, its production and use
abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] Soluble in organic solvents, has sufficiently high molecular weight, has excellent heat resistance and high stability, and shows a clear color change due to chemical and electrochemical reduction. Poly (alkylpyridine-2,5), which is a novel conductive polymer that becomes an n-type conductor -Diyl) polymer, and the polymer is used as an electrochromic element, a molded body such as a film, a material for an n-type conductor device, or the like. [Structure] Having a long-chain alkyl group having 3 or more carbon atoms, A poly (alkylpyridine-2,5-diyl) polymer having a degree of polymerization of at least 50. This polymer is produced by reacting a dihalogenated aromatic compound having a long-chain alkyl group with a metal or a metal compound having a dehalogenation ability to dehalogenate a halogen atom and polymerize the halogen atom. Since this polymer is soluble in an organic solvent, it can be dry-molded into fibers, membranes, etc., and shows a clear color change by chemical / electrochemical reduction, and becomes an n-type conductor or the like.
